National Film Week

National Schools Film Week
October 20-24 [England, Wales, Northern Ireland]
November 3-7 [Scotland]

Dear Colleague

Film Education’s National School's Film Week, is now the largest programme of FREE screenings and events of its kind in Europe with 300,000 students attending last year’s festival. We continue to show a wide range of films that enable teachers to use film as a teaching tool working with the National Curriculum and Scottish Guidelines as well as creating and sustaining a cine literate audience.

As you may already know, the programme for NSFW is researched by Film Education and chosen via consultation with teachers to offer a unique selection of films; in many cases these films are followed by events, which help to contextualise the films to the students.

We’d really welcome your input into the decision-making process, in order to programme suitable films and events in your area for this year’s festival. This is your last chance to have your say.

Therefore, would you kindly take some time to engage in this process with us by giving us feedback on the types of films you’d like to see, the most appropriate cinema for you and the kind of numbers of students you may wish to bring along, whether it be simply a theme, genre, language or specific film titles.

With your help we hope to make this year’s National Schools Film Week even more successful and widely attended than last year, and therefore look forward to hearing from you either by phone or by email.

Many Thanks
